Career opportunities with UGA Extension include traditional county extension agents in agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences and 4-H youth development. There are also area agents who focus on one specialty such as blueberries, Vidalia onions, livestock/poultry, water quality, energy education and commercial horticulture.

UGA Extension also has faculty in academic departments in Athens, Griffin, Statesboro and Tifton. They work with researchers to provide technical expertise to support county agents and develop educational materials for agents and the public.
