The University of Georgia Peach County Cooperative Extension Office extends lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families.
Peach County faculty and trained support staff provide educational programs as well as a number of Ag testings services to the citizens of Peach County. Our Ag Agent provides unbiased, research-based info that helps clients make critical decisions. Extension recommendations focus on maximizing production and profit, while minimizing environmental impacts.

May 9 Hay Forage School Field Day Jasper County ANR Agent Derrick Jones, Morgan County ANR Agent Lucy Ray, and Putnam County ANR Agent Keith Fielder will be hosting a Hay/Forage School Field Day. If you have a pasture, and desire to learn more about various programs for pasture management or want to improve your pastures. This is the field day for you. Each participant that has a pesticide license can earn up to 4 credits towards their license. The meeting date and time for the field day is May 9th, 2024 from 8:30AM to 2:30 PM. The field day will be held at the Williams Dairy, 1160 Broughton Road, Madison, Ga. 30650. To register for the event, contact the Morgan County Extension Office in Madison by phone at 706-342-2214. The event is free. To participate please register by the deadline May 6th. Space is limited so please sign up early.

May 13 - May 14 ServSafe Manager's Training We provide Georgia’s food service industry with food safety training using the National and Georgia Restaurant Associations ServSafe® Manager program. We hold the ServSafe® Manager course and test multiple times per year and proctor additional exams by request. We can also provide ServSafe® Food Handler training. The ServSafe® Manager training includes the latest textbook, study materials, exam session, light refreshments, and 1 ½ days of training and review leading up to testing. The cost is $150.00 per person. Registration is required. Textbooks will be available for pick-up at time of registration at the Extension Office.
