What is Prediabetes?

Before diabetes is diagnosed, most adults have prediabetes which is an elevated amount of blood sugar. In fact, more than 88 million adults in the United States have predibetes - that's one in three! If you are one of them, you can develop type 2 diabetes within 5 years if you don’t take steps to prevent it through a healthy diet and being physically active.
