Ways to get involved with Richmond County 4-H:

 

Enroll in Richmond County 4-H by submitting an enrollment form to Richmond County 4-H. Email completed forms to uge3245f@uga.edu or deliver to Richmond County 4-H, 602 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.

Apply now to serve as a 4-H Volunteer with Richmond County 4-H!

Apply online

Requirements:

Adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers working with youth must complete a volunteer application online, supply 3 non-related references, pass a background check, complete an Adult Code of Conduct agreement and complete the online training, Georgia 4-H: Working with Youth & Managing Risk.
Volunteer drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle screening (included in volunteer application).

  • Jun 3 - Jun 8 Junior Camp at Burton 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Junior Camp at Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island is a week-long camp for current 7th and 8th graders. Junior Campers will experience beach and marsh ecology activities, interactions with crabs and other area critters, plus a Savannah River dinner cruise and tours of Fort Pulaski and the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Cost includes lodging, meals, transportation and a swim shirt. $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 27, 2024. Limited spots available. Final camp payment is due by May 10, 2024.

  • Jun 3 - Jun 8 Senior EXTREME Camp I at Rock Eagle 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Senior EXTREME Camp at Rock Eagle 4-H Center is a week-long camp for current 9th through 12th graders. Senior EXTREME Camp is a more primitive camping experience, including tent camping, preparation of camper’s own meals, and a focus on outdoor recreational activities. Cost includes transportation, lodging, meals, and activities. $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 27, 2024. Limited spots available. Final camp payment is due by May 10, 2024.

Senior EXTREME Camp is a more primitive camping experience, including tent camping, preparation of camper’s own meals, and a focus on outdoor recreational activities.   • Jun 17 - Jun 22 Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in the North Georgia Mountains is a week-long camp for current *6th, 7th, or 8th graders. Campers will experience outdoor adventures and learn about shelter making, campfires, outdoor cooking, water purification and geology. Cost includes lodging, meals, transportation, plus canopy ziplining, kayaking, and whitewater rafting trip. $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 27, 2024. Limited spots available. Final camp payment is due by May 10, 2024. *6th graders must be 12 years old by June 17, 2024.

  • Jun 24 - Jun 29 Senior Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Senior Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in the North Georgia Mountains is a week-long camp for current 9th through 12th graders. Senior Camp activities provide learning experiences in all of Georgia 4-H's focus areas - Healthy Living, Agriculture and STEM, and Civic Engagement, and promote the development of leadership skills, and encourage community service, all in a fun and active camping environment. Cost includes transportation, lodging, meals, game room activities, tubing, and field day activities in the North Georgia Mountains. $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 27, 2024. Limited spots available. Final camp payment is due by May 10, 2024.
